The Financial Times announced on October 24, 2005 their annual ranking of international executive MBA programs. Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School ranked second in the world this year, while the Chinese University of Hong Kong ranked 15th.

HKUST Student Wins an Award in Open Source Software Competition

A doctoral student from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology won an award of the Open Source Software Product Application in 2005 Golden Penguin Greater China Open Source Software Competition. That student is called Wan Chun Lau and his design is “Network Emulator EMIP-2 I”. The competition is jointly organized by Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and the Macau SAR. It aims at promoting the research and strategic development of new software, and encouraging the development and establishment of Open Source Software in the Greater China Region.
