According to this news, recent research by Dr Harold Corke at the University of Hong Kong (Department of Botany) found that wolfberries (枸杞) significantly reduced blood glucose levels, bad cholesterol and triglycerides (fatty acids in the blood stream that lead to heart disease, diabetes and weight gain).
