What is test-driven development?

Test-Driven Development: What do you think? Do a little research and write something about it.

To Software Engineering students:

Test-driven development (TDD) received a lot of attention in recent years. Advocators of TDD claim that by writing tests first, they see better designs emerge. Practising TDD leads to code that is simple, loosely coupled, and highly cohesive. Do you believe it?

Do a little research and write some short paragraphs to briefly address the following points.

  • What is the main idea of test-driven development?
  • What is the goal of test-driven development?
  • How does a test-driven development cycle look like?
